U18 Hawks pulled of the result of the season so far!
The U18 Hawks pulled of the result of the season so far, knocking out Ruislip in the 2nd round of the league cup. Ruislip sit joint top of Division one, and took all 6 points against the Hawks last season.
In what was an entertaining 2-2 draw, the Hawks went ahead twice, only conceding to a great 25 yard strike in the dying minutes of the game. In what was a fiercely competed contest, the Hawks battled hard, and played by far some of the best football of their season so far. However, at 2-2, it was onto the dreaded penalties!
Hawks Keeper, Alex, pulled off a great save for Ruislip's 3rd, giving the Hawks the advantage. The next two penalties were scored, leaving Ethan Bowring to step up for what would be the winning penalty. Pressure.........what pressure? GOAL!!!!!!!!!
Full Time - Hughenden Hawks 2-2 Ruislip. Hughenden win 5-4 on penalties.
