Long standing Club servant receives ultimate honour.

On the night we celebrated our 50th Anniversary at Adams Park, home of Wycombe Wanderers FC, our long serving Under 17s Manager, Sean Gourley, was name an Honorary Vice President of the Club.

In presenting Sean with this well-deserved recognition, Dave Hilling (Club Chairman) said "Sean is quite incredible; in the 7 years I have been involved with the Club he has been the go-to person for anything you want to know (about league rules, about tactics etc); he’s been our kit and equipment manager (collating and ordering our club kits for every age group – sometimes even ironing on the shirt numbers), he orders all the medals and trophies for our presentation day, and, along with his son Charlie, he even marks out all the pitches for us too! An ever present at our Monthly Managers meetings (he even joined on a Zoom call from his hospital bed on one occasion), Sean’s contribution to our football club is second to none".

Our congratulations and thanks go to Sean, and of course his wife Kath who has also been a huge supporter (of Sean and the Club!).

Sean received a standing ovation from the 160 members and friends of HVFC attending the 50th Anniversary Dinner & Dance.

Please join us at our AGM & Fun Day on the 22nd June - we look forward to seeing you there.
