Aston Fencing Academy is delighted to offer a completely free introductory fencing session to all Hughenden Valley FC players and their siblings aged 5 to 12.
The academy was set up by former Hughenden Valley FC manager Mark Bowring and his son Aston, who also coached at the club, while Aston’s younger brother Ethan proudly played for HVFC for over five years. As a family, we have many fantastic memories at the club and are delighted to be able to give something back to the local football community.
Fencing is a brilliant sport for developing:
• Confidence
• Coordination
• Agility and balance
• Focus and discipline
• Quick reactions and decision making
Interestingly, all of those are hugely beneficial within football as well. Many of the movement skills, reactions, balance, footwork, concentration, and decision making developed through fencing naturally transfer across into other sports.
Most importantly, it is huge fun!
Sessions are beginner friendly, energetic, and designed specifically for children. Absolutely no experience is needed, and all equipment is provided.
Whether your child already loves sport, or simply wants to try something new, this is a fantastic opportunity to experience one of the world’s most exciting Olympic sports in a safe, structured, and inclusive environment.
